Erin TAG – Our First Meeting!

Hello! I’m Lori, the Children’s programmer at the Erin Branch which is also the Erin District High School Library. I’ll be coordinating the TAG group here in Erin. TAG stands for Teen Advisory Group.  The purpose of the group is to give a voice to the teens using the library so that we can improve our services and encourage more teens to read.

We met on Monday, December 13 and discussed some projects that we might like to work on. These include:

  1. Helping with the March Break Children’s program, which will be a wild west train ride. The TAG group can help decorate the room to look like a train, make tickets, wanted posters, and loot bags.
  2. Creating bookmarks and signs to help teens find books that would interest them.
  3. Suggesting new items for the library to purchase.

Next meeting: Monday January 10 at lunchtime in the seminar room of the Library. Sign up at the desk. Bring your lunch, I’ll bring dessert. Tell a friend!
